The Framework:
The Learning Taxonomy
Each of the performance indicators has been written according to a taxonomy that conveys the developmental nature of the learning process.
- First, learners acquire knowledge.
- In the second stage, learners apply their newly acquired knowledge.
- Next, learners personalise or explore the effects of the knowledge they have acquired and applied.
- Finally, learners act by using their new understanding or skill fully.
The performance indicators, therefore, are grouped under the following headings that represent stages of learning.
| Stage One | Acquire |
|---|---|
| Stage Two | Apply |
| Stage Three | Personalise |
| Stage Four | Act |
